Polar Group Eynsham 10k - 28th November 2021
This extremely popular race incorporates the Oxfordshire 10k County Championship. The fast two- lap course around the village of Eynsham finishes in the grounds of Bartholomew School.
Bourton Roadrunners’ in-form Ian Toltfs finished with a time of 47:37, making this his third PB in his last three races; at 5 miles race, half marathon and now 10k. Liz Hulcup, a regular at the Eynsham 10k, finished in 50:27 and was 2nd LV65.
Croome Capability Canter - 28th November 2021
This is a tough multi-terrain race around the scenic National Trust Croome Park, which starts with a hill and has a hilly finish too. For Nick and Donna Harper it was a family event. Nick ran with daughter Izzy and finished in 63:49, while Donna ran with son Joe crossing the line in 83:25; a brilliant effort.
AVR Wiltshire Half Marathon - 28th November 2021
This is an undulating course and the event supports the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Linda Edwards (2nd claim member) finished in a good time of 2:11:49, following recovering from a recent illness.
The French Riviera Marathon, Nice - Cannes - 28th November 2021
Run in sunny conditions the start was from the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, with the finish at the Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, close to the Cannes International Film Festival. Noelle Morgan finished in 4:47:30, after nearly giving up twice. Noelle was one of 4044 finishers.
Parkruns
Due to the wintery conditions quite a few parkruns were cancelled this week; however, ever-present Susan Hunt (2nd claim member) managed to find one that was still on, at Salisbury and finished in 25:27.
Highlights
Ian Tolfts PBs again, this time at Eynsham 10k.
Liz Hulcup was 2nd VL65 at Eynsham.
Nick and Donna Harper took on the challenging Croome Capability Canter with their children.
For Linda Edwards it was another half marathon; this time it was in Wiltshire.
Noelle Morgan thought international, taking on the French Riviera Marathon.
